Another typical seborrhoeic keratosis

This solitary dark skin lesion in a young person caused concern.

The dermoscope was applied, the concern was removed.

This autocorrected image shows regularity, a very well defined edge with frondy papillomatous appearance particularly top right edge, many comedo like openings, several milia like cysts, and some decent looped/hairpin vessels if you get your eye in. A classical seborrhoiec keratosis. These harmless lesions are often taken for suspected melanomas. the dermoscope with minimal training can usually eliminate them from our enquiries.

Regular viewers may find this boring, but effective learning of pattern recognition requires repetition with the examination of many lesions..
